Wacom is a Japanese technology company that mainly specializes in developing, manufacture and sale of graphic tablets. To connect a Wacom tablet to a Windows computer and be able to access the Wacom tablet and its content from the Windows computer, the drivers for that specific Wacom tablet must be installed on the computer. Drivers for Wacom tablets are available on the Internet and are almost always shipped with all Wacom tablets sold for the consumer's sake.. This being the case, installing Wacom drivers on a Windows computer is not an exact science and is quite easy.
However, it's a bit more difficult to uninstall Wacom drivers from a Windows computer. The thing is, Wacom tablet drivers tend to hide around a computer once they've been installed on it., making it difficult for users to locate them and a person can't uninstall something they can't even find in the first place. However, if you have Wacom drivers on your Windows computer that you want to uninstall, do not worry, this is exactly what a person should do to uninstall Wacom drivers from a Windows computer:
-
If you are using Windows 7, open the start menu and click on the control panel. If you are using Windows 8, 8.1 O 10, instead, right-click on the Start menu or press the Windows logo + X to open the WinX menu and click Control Panel on the WinX menu.
-
In the control panel, click Uninstall a program in the Programs section.
-
In the list of programs installed on your computer, find the list of Wacom drivers on your computer (may appear as Bamboo, Pen Tablet, Tablet, Wacom, Wacom Tablet or something completely different depending on the model and version of Wacom tablet you have) and right click on it.
-
Click Uninstall.
-
Follow the on-screen instructions to the end of the uninstall wizard to uninstall the Wacom drivers.
-
Once the Wacom drivers have been successfully uninstalled, restart your computer to complete the removal.
If you have the Wacom drivers installed on your computer, but for some reason they do not appear in the list of programs installed on your computer in Programs and Features, you should not panic. You can still locate the Wacom drivers and uninstall them from your computer simply:
-
Press the Windows logo key + R to open a Run dialog.
-
Type devmgmt.msc in the Run dialog and press Enter to start Device Manager.
-
Click View> Show hidden devices for Device Manager to also show hidden device drivers.
-
One by one, check each of the Device Manager sections for Wacom drivers. When you see a list of Wacom drivers in any section of Device Manager, just right click, click Uninstall and click OK in the resulting pop-up window to confirm the action.
-
Repeat step 4 for all Wacom drivers that you can find in your computer's Device Manager.
If the steps listed and described above haven't worked for you, repeat them after temporarily disabling any computer security programs, integrated or third party, that you use to protect your computer from threats like viruses and malware, and see if it does. so it produces positive results.
