Writing a document in Microsoft Word can be a power struggle, especially when you must pay attention to the format and layout of the document. Various aspects of formatting a document and perfecting its layout can be significantly difficult., being one of the worst moving existing pages in a document. Word simply creates new pages as needed when you are writing a document, but it's when you want to move through existing pages that things get a bit difficult. Why? Well, Word does not have a native option or feature that allows users to move the pages of a Word document freely and easily, at least not under normal circumstances.

Despite this, that does not mean that it is impossible to move the pages in a word document; it is certainly doable, and not too difficult. At the same time, one way or another, it is feasible to move entire pages in all versions of Word. There are two different ways that a Word user can move existing pages in a Word document: You can move the pages using headings (if you are using Word 2010 the later) or by moving each word on the pages you want to move to one . new location in document (pages will move automatically when you move your content). Without any more preambles, this is how you can move existing pages in a word document:

Method 1: use the navigation panel (Word 2010 the later)

First, you can move the pages of a word document using the navigation pane to move all the headings and all the content below them. This method can only be used in Word 2010 or in a newer version of the word processor, and it only works if titles have been incorporated into the document. To move the pages of a Word document with this method, needs to:

  1. Open the Word document in which you want to rearrange the pages.

  2. Navigate to the View tab on the Word toolbar.

  3. In the Show section, check the checkbox directly next to the Navigation Pane option to enable the Navigation Pane. 2018-03-18_060330-4624045

  4. Go to Browse Your Document Titles in the Navigation Pane. The Word document will not look like a very long page and will be divided into different sections by headings. 2018-03-18_060514-9020302

  5. Click the heading of the section of text that you want to move to a new location in the Word document and, with the click still held, drag the header to the new location where you want it. Everything below the header will be moved to the new location with the header, and Word will automatically reformat and move the document pages as needed.

Method 2: move the content of the landing page to a new location

The pages of any Word document are moved in any version of Microsoft Word by simply cutting the content of the landing pages from their current location and pasting them anywhere in the document to which they will be moved. To do it, simply:

  1. Open the Word document in which you want to rearrange the pages.

  2. Right-click and drag the mouse pointer primarily on the (s) page (s) you want to move to highlight and choose content.

  3. Presione Ctrl + X to cut the text selection. The pages the text was on will be removed once they have been cut.

  4. Place the mouse pointer where you want the pages to move in the Word document.

  5. Presione Ctrl + V to paste the content of the landing pages. The content will be moved to the new location and Word will automatically create a space to accommodate the text you have pasted, successfully moving the (s) page (s) destination from your previous location to the new location you have selected.
