How to fix error 0xc0000225 in Windows 10

One of the most common causes of error 0xc0000225 is when the boot configuration data BCD file is missing or corrupted. That can happen due to disk write errors, power outages, boot sector virus or mistakes made while setting the BCD manually.

You have probably encountered this error on your Windows 10 because while performing a critical update I had shut down the PC or something equivalent had happened. This has caused the computer to not start to the desktop, but I get error 0xC0000225 as shown below.

After installing Windows 10, perform an automatic repair.

The following steps will allow you to perform the automatic repair:

1. When the computer starts, wait for the manufacturer's logo to mark the option for the start menu, regularly will be F12.

Starting with the method 2, another alternative is to try to rebuild the boot configuration data file from the command prompt.

Use the same procedure as the method 2, but this time, instead of Troubleshooting, select Command Prompt.

On the Advanced Options screen, click Command Prompt.

1. Write BOOTREC / FIXMBR y, next, press ENTER.

2. Write BOOTREC / FIXBOOT y, next, press ENTER.

3. Write BOOTREC / REBUILDBCD y, next, press ENTER.

Reboot the system and check if the problem persists, the error should not appear again.
