Fortnite is a very popular battle game and almost everyone enjoys it. But you will not enjoy the game if you constantly see an error message when you try to play it and this is exactly what happens to many players.. What Causes the FortniteClient-Win64-Shipping.exe Error?

There are a few things that can cause this problem.

  • EasyAntiCheat: EasyAntiCheat, if you are not familiar, is an anti-cheat service designed specifically for online players. This problem may be caused by EasyAntiCheat starting to misbehave. A simple solution in this case is to simply repair the EasyAntiCheat service and everything will be back to normal..

  • MyColor2: MyColor2 is an application used for keyboard lighting and configuration. This program runs in the background and may interfere with Fortnite. The good thing is that stopping the MyColor2 background usually solves the problem.

  • Corrupt files: applications may malfunction if a file (s) is damaged. File corruption is quite common and the usual solution is to replace the damaged file with a fresh copy. But it is very difficult to determine the exact file, so it is always a good idea to reinstall the entire program. This can be one of the reasons for this error and the solution in these cases is to simply reinstall the entire program.

Some users solved the problem simply by rebooting the system. Sometimes, apps misbehave for unknown reasons, so it is better to reboot the system before trying the methods listed below.

Method 1: repair EasyAntiCheat

Many users have reported to us that repairing the EasyAntiCheat file in the Fortnite folder has solved the problem for them.. Then, Let's start by locating and repairing EasyAntiCheat.

  1. Hold down the Windows key and press E

  1. Hold down the Windows key and press R

If you don't want to uninstall MyColor2, you will have to repeat this process every time you want to play Fortnite. Note: MyColor2 is just one example of an app known to interfere with Fortnite. There are other applications that can also cause this problem. Since there may be a multitude of applications on your system, we cannot give you the step for every application, but the steps given above should work for all other apps. Then, you can try disabling the apps one by one and try playing Fortnite after disabling each of the apps to check which one is causing the problem. These are the apps that are known to cause this specific problem: MyColor2, SelLedV2 y lightingservice.exe. If you have any of these applications, start by disabling them.

Method 3: delete FortniteGame folder

It is quite common for files to get corrupted, so this could be one of those cases. The AppData folder on your Windows contains folders for various applications, included Fortnite. Deleting the Fortnite folder will probably fix the problem. Do not worry, the game will download this data again, which is exactly what we want because the data downloaded again will be new data files (no corruption).

  1. Hold down the Windows key and press E

  2. Type C: UsersApplicationDataN-Local in the address bar and hit Enter

  3. Look for the folder called FortniteGame. Right click on the folder and select Delete. You can also enter the folder and press CTRL + A to select all files and then hit Delete to do the same.

Once this is done, start with Fortnite and everything should work fine.

Note: If you can't see the folder or can't navigate to the location mentioned in the steps, one of the folders may be hidden. Follow the steps below to display the files.

  1. Hold down the Windows key and press E

  2. Click View

  3. Check the Hidden items box under Show / Hide. This should show all hidden items.

Method 4: cancel the error message

This is not a solution, but a kind of solution. Therefore, you will have to repeat this every time you want to play Fortnite. If you have tried everything and still face the error, this solution will allow you to play until the Fortnite devices fix the problem.

The solution to this problem is to click Cancel instead of OK. If you press OK, force you to exit the game and prevent you from running the game, but pressing Cancel will bring up another dialog box asking which application to use to open the debugger. Then, you can ignore this dialog and run the game in full screen.
