Minecraft's unresponsiveness is nothing new and occurs to even the most powerful PCs and laptops from time to time.. The problem is not related to the PC specifications. There are numerous tweaks and configurations that can cause the app to not work as required and cause weird issues like the one we are discussing.

What makes Minecraft unresponsive?

We analyzed various user reports and after experimenting on our own computers creating exactly the same conditions, we conclude that there are several reasons why the game is not responding. The game becomes numb for various reasons and can last for minutes and, in some cases, indefinitely.

  • Out of date Java version: Minecraft uses the Java platform to function correctly and start its mechanics. If the Java platform is out of date or not installed correctly on your computer, you may experience unresponsiveness issues.

  • Windows outdated: Windows is the primary operating system that Minecraft runs on. If the operating system is out of date or there are some problems, probably Minecraft will not be able to run and will not respond.

  • Incomplete Minecraft installation / damaged: there are also cases where the Minecraft installation is corrupted or incomplete. This can happen if the version was not updated correctly or if you manually moved the game to another directory.

  • Minecraft obsoleto: Minecraft releases updates from time to time to introduce new features and resolve bugs and glitches. If you have an outdated version, Minecraft may refuse to start and not respond.

  • Mods: if you are running Minecraft with mods, it is recommended that you disable them and try to start the game again. Mods change the behavior of the game by improving the texture.

  • Video controllers: video drivers are another known cause of the problem. If the video drivers are out of date or incomplete, the game will not start and will go into a no response state.

  • Administrator privileges: in some exceptional cases, administrator privileges are required to run the game. If the game does not have high access, problems will arise like the one we are discussing.

Before continuing with the solutions, make sure you have an open and active internet connection and are logged in as an administrator. What's more, make sure your Minecraft has a cloud backup.

Causes problems because the overlap is directly on top of the current game and if they don't support each other, there will be a conflict that will cause the state of no response.
