This solution is for people who experience this problem every time they connect a USB stick or external hard drive to the system. If you see that File Explorer appears constantly after connecting a USB, you can disable windows autoplay. Autoplay is a function that allows you to select an action for a specific type of media in a drive. Therefore, Autoplay can be configured to open File Explorer and display the contents of the inserted drive, and disabling autoplay will fix this issue. Follow the steps below to activate autoplay

Hold down the Windows key and press R

Type control panel and press Enter

Select small icons from the drop-down menu under View by (Right upper corner)

Select AutoPla and

Uncheck the Use autoplay for all media and devices option

Click Save
That's all. This should disable autoplay and you won't see File Explorer every time you insert a USB device.
