1. You may need to create a personal Trakt account before you can register a new app. After creating a new account, navigate to the Trakt New app page to register a new app.

2. Enter any unique name in the name box (it is recommended to choose a unique name).

3. In the redirect URI box, write the following:

1. Now click on Save application. You will be redirected to your control panel where you will find the customer identification and the secret code. We will refer to this information later..

1. Download ES Explorer on your device.

2. Once downloaded, open it and navigate to the end. Now select Show hidden files.

3. Now, while still inside the ES Explorer, scroll down to Network, then Remote Manager and turn it on.

4. Now write down the FTP address that you will see on the screen.

And PC

1. Press Windows + E to open File Explorer. Now, in the address bar at the top of the screen, enter the FTP address we just noticed in step 4 from the previous steps. Now many folders that are present on your TV will be filled / Fire Stick.

2. Now navigate to the following address:

1. Now copy the file »trakt. py »and paste it on your desktop. Make sure you get the exact file (no “trakt.pyo”).

2. Right-click on the file and select Edit with Notepad. Now locate V2_API_KEY and replace the value within »with the customer ID of your dashboard in Trakt. Now look for CLIENT_SECRET and replace the value inside »with the secret ID of your dashboard client in Trakt.

3. Save the edited file. Now copy the file and paste it back into the Fire TV window from where we copied it in the first place. You will most likely be asked if the file already exists. Press Yes to replace it.

Restart your Fire TV / Fire Stick and check if the search function works again as expected without problems.
