LA Noire does not start in Windows 10

What prevents LA Noire from starting in Windows 10?

This problem can be traced to several different modules and reasons. Some of them are listed below. Please note that these are the possible reasons; does not mean that each of them applies to you.

• Administration issues: A. Noise is available on Steam and we noticed several different cases where the game failed to start because admin privileges were not granted.

1. Navigate to the Steam shortcut or search for it after pressing Windows + S. Right click and select Run as administrator.

1. First, we will check the version of DirectX on your computer. If the latest is installed (the last was the 12 January 19), you can skip this solution. Press Windows + S, type dxdiag in the dialog and open the application.

2. Now, vs. DirectX version, check if it is the latest or not. If that is not the case, follow the steps below to update it.

Solution 5: add registry keys

If all the above methods don't work for you and you still can't start LA Noire on your computer, we have no choice but to make some additions to your registry settings. Instead of manually adding the record one by one (which will be tedious), we will download all fixes and implement them automatically. Make sure you are logged in as an administrator.

1. Download A. Noire Error Handler and keep it in an accessible place.

2. Right click on the .zip folder and extract the contents.

1. Now we will try the first solution. Double click on the file »Error Handler.reg«. If a UAC is requested, click yes. Now do the same with »Error Handler 2.reg«. In this point, the game could be fixed and work.

2. Try to start the game. If the game still won't start, go ahead and implement all fixes.

3. Restart your computer after all fixes have been implemented and check if you can start LA Noire properly.

If these fixes don't work, You may have installed LA Noire in a different location than mentioned in these log files. In this case, we'll change the drive letter and see if this works. Note that you will need to repeat these steps for the 4 files we just downloaded.
