  2. The path of that folder depends on the platform you are on and the folder in which you have chosen to install it.

  3. Please note that in older versions of the software, the Kodi directories were called XBMC.

  4. In Windows, the folder where the plugins are located should normally be called

    C:N-UsersN "YourUserName"NAppDataNRoamingNKodi.
  5. Another way to find it is to enter

    %APPDATA%kodiuserdata

via the search box located on the left side of the taskbar, next to the start menu button.

Solution 4: use the built-in uninstaller

Follow the instructions related to this solution to use the built-in Kodi uninstaller, but also to delete the remaining files and registry entries once the process is complete. Carefully follow the instructions below to remove Kodi completely from your Windows PC 10.

First, let's make sure nothing related to Kodi is running on our computer, as this may prevent the uninstall process from running normally.

  1. In the lower right corner of the screen, check the taskbar and systray to see the Kodi icon. Yes love, right click on it and select the related option to close the program.

  2. To make sure nothing related to the program is running in the background, use the keyboard combination Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager. Find and end the processes related to the program.

Once we have disabled Kodi so that it does not run on our computer during the uninstallation process, let's proceed to the corresponding elimination.

  1. Open File Explorer by clicking on the folder icon on the taskbar which will take you to the quick access feature.

  2. Navigate to

    X:N- Program files (x86)NKodiN- / pre>

Find the Uninstall.exe file and double-click on it to remove Kodi by activating the built-in uninstaller. (X represents the disk that installed the program.)

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed with the removal.

  4. In the middle, you will be given the option (“Yes, i am sure and also grant permission to delete profile folder”) to delete the Kodi profile folder. Leave the option box unchecked to keep the folder containing the Kodi settings and library data for later use and click Uninstall. Otherwise, check the option and click Uninstall.

  5. Wait for the built-in uninstaller to finish its work and remove Kodi from your computer.

After the uninstaller removes Kodi from your PC, it's time to delete all related registry keys as well. Let's proceed with this process, but first let's make sure to back up our work, the original record in case something goes wrong.

  1. Open Registry Editor by searching for it in the search box located in the Start menu or by using the Ctrl key combination + R to open the Run dialog where you need to type “Regedit”.

  2. Click the File menu at the top left of the window and select the Export option.

  3. Choose where you want to save the changes in your registry.

  4. In case you do any damage to the registry while editing it, just open the Registry Editor again, click File >> Import and find the .reg file that you exported earlier.

  5. Alternatively, if changes made to the registry are not imported, the system can be restored to a previous working state using System Restore.

Since our registry is backed up and secure, We can delete the Kodi registry entries by following the instructions below.

  1. In Registry Editor, navigate to this folder:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USERN-SoftwareKodiN

    and delete it.

  2. In the browser, click edit> Search and log in “Code” to search for other files remaining in the program, and remove them if you find them to completely remove Kodi.

  3. If you haven't restarted your computer once, restart it now. You can then check if the removal was successful and if your computer got rid of Kodi.

Solution 5: use Advanced Uninstaller Pro to remove Kodi

There are many different uninstallers designed to replace Control Panel and Settings, as they are often unresponsive and, sometimes, freeze in the middle of the uninstall process.

You don't have to use this particular uninstaller, but this one was able to help people who were dealing with this particular issue and that is exactly why we recommend it. It will also delete registry entries and app data if you don't like being the man for that job or if you are a casual user.

  1. Download Advanced Uninstaller Pro from its official website or CNET.

  2. Find the file you downloaded, double click on it and follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall it. Be careful not to install any additional programs that you may be asked to install and uncheck all. Select Custom Install and uncheck everything except Advanced Uninstaller Pro.

  3. Open the program and open General Tools.

  4. In General Tools, click Uninstall Programs and a list of all installed programs should appear.

  5. Select Kodi and click the Uninstall button on the left below the information of the program you have selected.

  6. After clicking the uninstall button, uninstaller is likely to fail, as it shows an error message or has already been used or removed.

  7. However, this program implements a scanner whose purpose is to scan your hard drive and registry for debris. You will locate these files and you can click Select all and delete them.

  8. Restart your PC and check if Kodi has been removed from your device.
