War structure network is unresponsive

Warframe is a third person shooter game and it is free to play. The game was published and developed by Digital Extremes. The game was initially released for Microsoft Windows in March 2013 and then it was released for Xbox, PlayStation y Nintendo Switch. However, recently we have received many reports of users not being able to play due to the error »The network is not responding«. This error occurs when trying to log into the game and, sometimes, even when trying to connect to the server.

What causes the error “The network is not responding” in the war?

After receiving multiple reports from users, we investigated the bug to find a set of solutions that can be implemented to get rid of this bug. What's more, We investigated the reasons why this error is triggered and some of the most common are listed below.

• Firewall: sometimes, Windows firewall prevents the game from contacting its servers due to a false alarm that the game is a virus. This is a common cause of the error and can be easily fixed.

• Hidden DNS: in some cases, DNS cache may be corrupted causing the problem. The computer uses DNS to translate names to IP addresses.

• Game Servers: game developers to maintain servers sometimes have to disassemble them due to users facing connectivity issues. This can be easily verified from the developer's social media management, since most developers update users before doing so.

• slow Internet: in some cases, user's internet connection faced packet loss and high pings due to which connection to servers could be a problem.

Now that you have a basic understanding of the nature of the problem, we will look for solutions. It is recommended that you implement these solutions in the specific order that they are provided.

Solution 1: restart internet router

Sometimes, your internet router settings may be using the wrong DNS settings. Therefore, in this step, we are going to do a full power cycle of the internet router to make sure this is not the case.

1. Unplug the power from the internet router Unplug

2. Wait at least 5 minutes

3. Reduce power and wait until internet access is granted.

4. Try to run the game and check if the problem persists.

If this step does not solve the problem, do not worry, is the most basic step to solve the problem. Go to the next solution.

Solution 2: Borrar DNS

In some cases, DNS cache may be corrupted causing the problem. The computer uses DNS to translate names to IP addresses. Therefore, in this step, we will completely update the DNS by clearing its cache.

1. Click in the search bar and type »Command Prompt«

2. Right-click on the icon and select »Run as administrator«

3. Type »ipconfig / flushdns »at the command prompt to fully update DNS.

4. Now run the game and check if the problem persists.

Solution 3: use an ethernet connection

In some cases, user's internet connection faced dropped packets and high pings, so connecting to servers could be a problem. Therefore, It is always a good idea to use an Ethernet connection over a wireless one to eliminate lost packets. Try using an Ethernet connection and see if the problem persists.

Solution 4: grant access to the firewall.

Sometimes, Windows firewall prevents the game from communicating with its servers due to a false alarm that the game is a virus. This is a common cause of the error and can be easily fixed. To do it:

1. Click the Start menu icon and select Settings.

2. Inside the Settings option, click Update & Security.

3. Now click on »Windows Security» on the left panel.

4. Click on the »Firewall and network protection« option.

5. Now click on the option »Allow an application to pass through the firewall«.

6. Click on the »Change» option to grant administration rights.

7. Scroll down and select »Warframe» from the list

8. Check the boxes »Public» and »Private» and click OK

9. This will give you access and allow you to connect to the game servers.
