Adobe Photoshop is the most used graphics editor by experts everywhere. It was initially created in 1988 and has since become the standard “de facto” in the publishing industry. It comes with many customizable options that allow the user to render the image the way they want.

One notable option that you may need as a graphic designer in Photoshop is fonts.. Since Photoshop already has all the predefined Windows fonts, you may be looking for a way to add more fonts to the software package. The solution is simple; just install the font on your Windows. When you install it in the operating system, Photoshop picks it up automatically and you can use it wherever you want.
Note: not all fonts are compatible with Photoshop. If you see some of the fonts listed but others are missing from the application's font selection menu, it probably means they are not compatible (still!) On the platform. You may have to see other alternatives.
Downloading and installing fonts in Windows
As we previously mentioned, we will try to download the fonts on your Windows machine. Photoshop software will automatically pick up system fonts and allow you to select them whenever you want. Make sure you have an active internet connection and administrator privileges.
-
Navigate to the font site from where you want to download the font. Download the font in a reachable place.

-
Now double click on the .tff file (or any format) and when the new window appears, click on the install button at the top of the screen.

-
After installing the font on your computer, press windows + S, scribe $ 0027 fountain $ 0027 in the dialog and open the respective system settings.

-
Once in the font settings, you can check whether the desired font is installed or not. In the search bar, write the name of the font we just installed. See if it shows up as an entry. If so, it probably means that the font is installed and embedded in your system correctly.

-
You can click on the source to get more information related to it. Move the slider according to your preference to choose the normal size. If you want to uninstall it in the future, you can do it from here.

If you want to install the fonts directly from the Windows store, you can do it from the main source menu. It has a redirect link to the Microsoft store from where you can install the font directly instead of downloading it and then installing it manually..
-
Navigate to the fonts menu like we did before and click on Get more fonts from Microsoft Store.

-
You will now be redirected to the store with the open source category. Select the font you want to use and install it from the store.

-
Make sure to restart your computer and Photoshop before trying to change the font from within the application.
