We have prepared several working methods for this problem, so be sure to review and test them one by one before giving up. The error appears when trying to update the virus definitions or the tools themselves.

What Causes the Unknown Avast Update Error?

The problem is usually caused by DNS settings that need to be changed. It is very possible that the DNS address that was acquired automatically is not good enough and we suggest that you change it to one from Google.
