Potential security risk?
Since there is a known malware disguising itself as the sttray64.exe procedure, We suggest that you carry out the essential checks. To do this, open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and locate the sttray64.exe procedure in the Processes tab. Then, right-click on the sttray64.exe procedure and choose Open file location.
If the revealed location is different from the C program files: N-IDT N-WDM and did not install the IDT audio drivers in a custom location, most likely a virus infection. Should I remove sttray64.exe?
Simply removing the sttray64.exe executable is not an ideal solution, since it will probably break the HD audio codec set. Despite this, since sttray64.exe is not an essential part of Windows, its removal together with the software to which it belongs will not affect the correct functioning of your PC at all.
To uninstall sttray64.exe and main software, open a run window (tecla de Windows + R) and type »appwiz.cpl» and press Enter to open Programs and Features. In Programs and Features, Find and right-click IDT Audio (the Semiconductor Weather) and choose Uninstall, then follow the on-screen instructions to remove it from your system.
Note: If you encounter an error associated with sttray64. exe and persists even after uninstalling / reinstall the software, navigate to C: Windows N-System32 and rename from IDTNC64.cpl to IDTNC64.old. Then restart your computer and see if the problem is solved. Windows should automatically recreate a new IDTNC64.cpl that does not produce the same error.
