The problem is easily solved by reinstalling the drivers, undoing them or restarting Wacom services. There are also some hardware problems that you need to solve. Make sure you connect your device to a suitable port. Try switching ports and make sure the cable is connected properly and in working order.

Solution 1: restart the Wacom service

We will try to restart the Wacom service as the first step to solve the problem. This will restart the entire procedure, will update the currently stored settings and try to detect your tablet again.

  1. Press Windows + R to start the application Run. Type »services. msc »in the dialog box and hit Enter.

Solution 2: update driver and reinstall programs

If restarting the service doesn't work, we can try to update the driver. First, we will remove the driver and then uninstall all related applications. Reinstalling the applications and drivers will ensure that all setup errors are resolved and the computer recognizes the tablet as if it were plugged in for the first time.

Note: If the tablet is still undetected after installing the latest drivers, try to undo them. Going back means installing an older version of the drivers. You can easily download them from the official website.

  1. Press Windows + R to start the application Run. Enter »devmgmt. msc »in the dialog box and hit Enter. This will start the device manager.

  2. Browse all devices until you find the category »Human Interface Devices«. Expand and select »Wacom Tablet«. Right-click and select »Uninstall device«.

  3. Press Windows + S to start the search bar. Type 'cmd’ in the dialog, right click on the application and select 'Run as administrator'.
