The error code appears 16 from Adobe when trying to start a Creative Cloud application; ya sea Photoshop, Lightroom or any other software offered by Adobe. The error message prompts the user to uninstall and then reinstall whatever product they are trying to open. However, if you try to reinstall the software, the problem persists and you will be prompted for the same error message one more time. The most common cause of the problem seems to be the lack of permissions on the Adobe PCD folder or, in some cases, in the SLStore directory.
Error 16 de Adobe
This problem is not limited to a certain version of Windows, rather it has been reported to have been caused in all versions by multiple users. What's more, the problem seems to arise also on macOS. However, the solutions for such an error message are pretty straightforward and you can run them regardless of your operating system. Before moving on to solutions, Let's go over the causes of the error message one more time.
What causes the error $ 0027 Adobe error code 16 $ 0027?
The cause of the error message is quite obvious. As we highlighted above, the error code appears when some of the directories, for example Adobe PCD and Adobe Creative Cloud SLStore do not have the necessary permissions. How files stop working properly due to insufficient permissions, as a result, the app you are trying to open crashes and you get the mentioned error message.
As is obvious from the cause, solving the problem is quite easy. In addition to assigning the appropriate permissions to these folders, the problem can also be fixed by forcing the product to run as administrator every time it is run.
Having said that, let's get into the solutions.
