Unfortunately, LG Keyboard has stopped, since the error itself tells us that the keyboard has stopped, we know something went wrong. According to experience, this problem is usually due to a software glitch. This error is not hardware related and can be resolved by stopping and clearing the LG Keyboard app data. If deleting the data and changing the keyboard doesn't work, then it would be worth performing a hard reset.
Hardware reset instructions vary depending on your phone model, so i suggest you do a google search or read the manual that came with the phone.
Clear data and restart LG keyboard app
Go to settings
In Settings> General> Applications> ALL (scroll left to DOWNLOADED options / RUNNING near the top)
Look for »LG Keyboard» and a button that says STOP and CLEAR DATA
Click on “Stop” and then in “Delete data”.
Test if the keyboard works now, but, continue with method 2

Touch Settings
Touch input language and keyboard layout
Choose on-screen keyboard settings
Swap the QWERTY keyboard for the phone keyboard.
Try to see if that fixes the problem. Otherwise, the best would be to do a hard reset and if the hard reset doesn't solve the problem, I would suggest sending it to the manufacturer for a warranty repair. If it's out of warranty, so you've probably lived your life and now it's time to replace your phone.
