Methods to recover deleted browser history on Google Chrome

Recovering deleted data from browser sounds a bit difficult, but there are some methods that may be helpful. History is saved in local computer files and browser account, if you have one connected. Then, some confirmed methods are shown to help you recover your browser history.

Windows 10 offers an option to recover the folder from the previous version. When a user deletes the Chrome browser history, basically delete data from a specific folder. You can restore the folder to its last previous version to recover history as shown below:

1. Open your File Explorer and go to the following path:

   C:N-UsersKevinAppDataN-Local

   Note: instead of Kevin, will have your username.

2. Right click on the Google folder and choose Properties. Go to the Previous version tab and choose the version before removing it. Recovering the previous version of the folder

3. Click the Apply and OK button. This will restore the history up to that version.

However, if you don't have the previous version available, you can try other methods below.

Our DNS will save all the queries that our browser and applications use to connect to the Internet.. Using this method, we will show you some of the recent inquiries that were made. However, this will not show the full history. You can check DNS cache queries by following the steps below:

Google My Activity saves all searches and activities used in your browser. This will work if you have your Gmail account synced with your browser. This method will work if the user has not deleted the history in their Google account settings. Through My Activity, the user can consult all the history during the access to his account following the steps indicated below:

1. Open My Activity for Google account in your browser. Access your account if you are not yet logged in. Open my Google activity

2. Click the item view on the left side to see your search history. Check your history through My Activity

3. This will show all the history that was synced with your Google account.

4. Use recovery software to recover history folder

This method is similar to the first, but in this we will use a third party application to recover the previous version. Many users will not have the option of the previous version available in their properties, so this can help the same. Using recovery software will recover recently deleted files from browser folder.

1. Go to the official Recuva page and download the free version. Downloading Recuva recovery software

2. Install the software and run it. Now choose All Files for the file type, choose the option In a specific location for the path and provide the file location as shown below: Specify settings for archive recovery

3. Now start Google folder recovery and in the end you will get the files that have been deleted from the folder. Find the history related files and save them back to the folder.
